Pre-roll: never miss the start of a take

You know the moment. Someone starts talking, you reach for the button, and the best line is gone. Pre-roll fixes it.

The short version

Turn on pre-roll in Settings and every Lossless take includes the five seconds before you pressed REC.

How it works

While the Record screen is open, Flowphonic keeps the last five seconds in memory while it's idle. When you press REC, those last five seconds are added to the front of the take. Flowphonic only saves audio from a take you record.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings and make sure you're using Lossless quality. Pre-roll is a Lossless feature.
  2. Switch on pre-roll.
  3. Open the Record screen and leave it open between takes.

About the microphone

To make pre-roll work, the mic is on while the Record screen is open. That's also how the level meters and Auto Record work. Flowphonic only saves audio from a take you record. Our privacy policy spells it out.
